Earth Day Special: THE 11TH HOUR [PG] (2007)

Leonardo DiCaprio introduces questions within and possible answers to the continuing puzzle of global warming. Announcing in its title the premise that we are living during the last time for taking action to stop or even reverse the effects, the film examines past and current events, noting but not focusing on corporate and political arguments that human activity is not responsible for the crisis. The film features passionate presentations by a broad range of speakers, including Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, Stephen Hawking, and former head of the CIA R. James Woolsey, and others, illustrating their arguments with archival news footage and charts.
